The Philosophy
Wellness, to us, is a form of connection.
Connection to the body and its needs.
Connection to the rhythms of breath, movement, and rest.
The body carries more than tension, it holds memory, emotion, and experience.
When approached with mindfulness and respect, it responds with ease, clarity, and renewal.
At Thum, every experience is shaped by this belief, that healing is not forced, but invited.

A quiet approach to wellness, rooted in care and intention.
At Thum, wellness is not an escape from life, but a way of living within it.
A daily practice of listening to the body, calming the mind, and moving with greater awareness and balance.
We believe true well-being begins when we slow down, when care is offered with presence, and every moment is treated with intention.

The Founders
Thum was founded by two individuals united by a shared understanding of care.
For Achara, this understanding was shaped by Thai healing traditions passed down through generations, a practice rooted in mindful touch, herbal wisdom, and the belief that compassion is central to healing. Her work is guided by the knowledge that the body remembers, and that attentive care can gently restore balance.
For Kittipong, care was learned through hospitality, through the warmth, attentiveness, and generosity that define Thai culture. Years of welcoming others taught him that people remember how they are made to feel, long after the moment has passed.
Together, they envisioned Thum as a place where these values meet. A space shaped by intention, sincerity, and human connection.

Thai Roots
Our practice is deeply rooted in Thai healing traditions.
From the use of warm oils and herbal compresses to the philosophy of Metta and Karuna. Loving-kindness and compassion, each element reflects a cultural understanding of wellness as both physical and emotional care.
Thai healing honors nature as medicine, touch as communication, and presence as the foundation of restoration. These principles guide every ritual at Thum, offered with respect and humility.
Tradition is not preserved here as memory, but practiced as living wisdom.
Inspired by Thailand and shaped by New York,
Thum is designed as a sanctuary for stillness within modern life.
The space is intentionally calm — softened by natural light, warm materials, and quiet details that invite rest. Every element exists to support ease, allowing the body and mind to settle without distraction.
Here, tradition is expressed through simplicity, and healing is woven gently into everyday living.
“Thum is unlike any spa I’ve been to. There’s a quietness here that allows you to truly settle. The therapist’s presence, the warmth of the space, and the pacing of the ritual made me feel completely supported. I left not only relaxed, but restored.”
